Entry Description
The Cachoeira Bookshelf inspires thoughtful and casual reading and relaxing. This project draws inspiration from how my friends and I used to interact in our homes back when I lived in Rio de Janeiro. Sitting on the floor was always a must, it created a cozy and casual atmosphere, this is what this piece captures. Built out of cut and bent birch plywood, the Cachoeira bookshelf has a small footprint that could fit in any living room, bedroom, or outdoors. The seat is cushioned with a blend of natural latex memory foam, and cotton batting and upholstered with wool upholtery fabric.
